Re: [WBCCI_WDCU] Coop

I am thankful for the time that I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and my
job was to paint a shed with Bud.  He told me stories and had a great time while
painting that "barn".  That is what he told me to tell everyone we did that
day.  He was a wonderful man and he will be remembered by me for a long time.

A fascinating man, one of a very few engineers I know with a sense of humor
besides Garnett and Stuart. A visionary for all who own/restore vintage
Aistreams, Bud was the Vintage Airstream Club's Founding Father in 1993, created
the Concours d'Elegance, and continued his activities thereafter as Technical
Advisor and teacher/mentor to so many, always willing to help in restoration
methods, processes, and parts hunting. In 2004 when i rewrote the Concours
criteria for objective judging, i named the huge VAC Best-In-Show traveling
trophy in his honor, making sure he presented it to the winners at the 2004 and
2005 Internationals, his last. For all of us who own or have owned a vintage
rig, we are indebted to Bud Cooper.
