I want to thank all of my cheer leaders. I just began to make one move after
another tonight toward removing my bad dimmer switch. All needs to be done now
is to solder the wires to the headlamp. It's late. Will do that another day.
I do want to say that I cut the low and high wires before I began to pull my
fish thru, so that I'd minimize my struggle. As a fish I used a thin, but very
strong nylong string tied to the hole in the red wire terminal (lug).
I also undid and removed the screws and lifted the ign. switch up so I could get
a screwdriver to it. Went back down no problem.
I did nothing about the throttle cable except loosen the nut at the handlebar. I
already tested the switch and wire harness with a digital voltohmeter, by the
way.
I just wrapped the yellow string around the bundle of 3 new wires and used elec.
tape wound tightly for about 6 inches. Working slowly, feeding a quarter inch at
a time and pulling same, I got the bundle to the hole, and then it took some
coaxing, but it's all done except the soldering at the lamp.
Thanks again, all, very very much!!!!
