Re: [Virtual Indian] carb mounting bolts question

Wally!

L&Ls made no distinction for brandx between their gasketed OHV models vs
their gasket-less sidebowl models as far as float setting, as far as my
literature suggests. That is the only relevant reference I can offer.

After I first produced Nitrophyl floats many years ago, I was shocked that
harleyriders would announce that they set them anywhere from 3/16" to
5/16"with great results.

As long as they really float I guess. Set level is nice.

I've some ultra-light foam stock (the latest M formula), but there's no
crowd forming to study optimized fuel and accelleration performance.
Imagine if your bowl had the extra reserve of a "pregnant" flat tracker carb
from just a super-small-super-light float.
.... but was a 'sleeper'.

Some prototypes went out a long time ago, but few results made it back to
me.

If it is 1/4 -24 that will be the same pitch as the cam cover screws.  tim  ________________________________ From: Tom & Sue <sjacobs@...> To:...
