Hi,
I have my brand new P901 manifold (one of two actually). I am really
interested in getting a HSR 42. I have let TWO GET AWAY on ebay!!!
My dual carbs are Jekyll and Hyde! One works fine and the other is way
too lean. I have fiddled with it until I am tired of messing with it. I
am considering splitting the carbs. I have had them out and back in 8
times. They are "linked" in 4 places. The diaphragm covers, the throttle
linkage housing, the throttle linkage and the choke. The attach point
for the throttle cables from the handle bar are on the bad carb. The
attach holes for the bracket are not tapped. No biggy. Every attach
point is done with "c" clips. The manual says that once split, they
impossible to re join. I don't see the big deal, but I am not a Yamaha
engineer. Has anyone split them? What are your experiences.
CCworks.org has the rejetting info.
