well i know your pain i have been going through the same... i found that it was the fuel air mix screw once adjusted it got rid of the problem... also check

Robert- first check is for vacuum leak. Spray carb cleaner or starter fluid around all parts of intake system from carbs to head. Increased idle indicates air
