For $20,000 of welding and metal you can get the same thing with a $2,000 1968
in Sterling, NY on Craigs List, or the one we have outback for less. I see there
was a 1971 bus on craigslist for $1800 in Moravia, I was tempted as we have
several parts vehicles that either have to be used up or scrapped next time the
price is worth hauling them to Oneonta (we don't have anything to tow with at
the moment, another reason I really need a truck, not a bug or bus). My father
just got back from a month in NC and KY and always is looking to sell stuff
after such a trip, especially after looking at Southern metal compared to ours.
Someone had a nice white split window truck out in VT for just under $10,000 on
the Albany area craigslist.
