This group is intended for users of VM diesel engines, 1 - 6 (in line/V) - cylinder varieties, in whatever application they are used.

The engines are used in cars, e.g. Jeep, Chrysler, Alfa Romeo, Opel/Vauxhal, Ford, Range Rover, boats, named Mercruiser and BMW, industrial machines such as trucks, sweeping machines, snow mobiles, various agricultural applications, stationary applications etc. On the VM factory web site, www.vmmotori.it there is a good overview of applications and a complementary one is found at www.hwag.com.

The engines are used as 3 to 6 cylinders in various cars and boats and many of the components are exchangeable and useful for all kind of engines. 1 - 6 cylinder engines are used in industrial, stationary etc use, water-, air- and oil-cooled.

There is as well an old VM family of stationary units. It was produced as a 6-8-10-12-16 cylinders engines, either air or water cooled. The bigger ones are V engines.
