Re: [VAG-COM] Golf alarm

Hi, i had the same problem but Vag-Com was not picking-up any error on the
central locking unit. Mine use to go off every one hour. I took my car to the
dealer and they could not see the problem.  This started when the battery was
giving problems and it damaged the unit. I changed it and it was fine. There is
different version on this unit 1J0-959-799 AH and VAG-COM does on address 46. I
think componet id describe the right unit. Hope you come right. Unit is
located on the left hand side next to the fuse box on the driver side(Right hand
drive). You need to open the bottom panel on the dash above the pedals. It is
mounted with two star screws. Thanks.

Regards

Baldwin

The alarm goes off in the night on a year 2000 golf. I have turned off the
inside sensors. Can the alarm be turned off altogether?
