I am one of the ones that had problems with ReVolks. I had sent them my original
seals to replicate, in addition to my original carpet to replicate, and I paid
for it all in advance like an idiot. Nadine was my contact.  They never
responded after that and I am now screwed, especially on the carpet.  I filed a
complaint with the Arkansas Attorney General.  They investigated and ReVolks
never responded to them either.  Then out of the blue a month ago I get a small
box in the mail, registered, that had four pieces of the felt that goes in the
trunk and under the dash from an obviously very rusted Type 4.  No note,
nothing. A week later I got a letter from the Attorney General saying the case
was closed and they considered it resolved. Attached to it was a letter to the
AG from Nadine saying she does not work there anymore, has not for quite some
time, does not remember me, would never have accepted my package if she had
known there would be such
conditions, and, oh yea, she sent the box with "my materials" in it (the felt).
Nice.

I am so desperate at this point for especially the rear side window seals on my
4-door 412 that I reponded to the ad using a different name and email, and this
is what I got in return:

As for carpeting, sadly you won't find any company such as TMI, Sewfine et
cetera with
carpet kits "off the shelf" for these cars :(
We custom make all interior upholstery/carpet for 412s at our shop but don't
do
them for mail order anymore.
If you have your original carpeting still; take the pieces to any local
upholstery
shop and they can use the OG carpet as templates to make new ones. We add a
canvas
binder to the ones we make and you can probably select this with whomever
you choose
to do the work.

After seeing this posting I enquired about pricing for seals I might need for my
project and received a very full and helpful reply within 24 hours. They also
quoted a very reasonable rate for mailing to the UK.

I shall now need to organise the cash to pay for this but, so far, my impression
of this company is only favourable.

I'll let you know how I get on with shipping.

First of all, please note that there is a distinction between this
Yahoo! email list and the website at www.type4.org. "We" don't allow
people to post on www.type4.org, only "I" do as the site owner.

I personally have not had to order anything from them, so I do not
have any specific experience myself. Yes, I have seen complaints on
this list, and I even spoke to them about it once, but the problem is
that I have nothing specific to go by. If everyone who has
_unresolved_ issues could speak up and describe them in detail I can
ask them again and threaten to pull the ad if they don't act on the
issues.
