I purchased my new 2004 Matrix a few days ago, and during the weekend
I drove about 600 km. While driving back in the rain, an electronic
buzzing occasionally occurred. It occurred for the first time about
an hour after driving, lasting about 2 seconds. Then, half hour later
it occurred again, and then, when approaching home, it started to
occur more frequently, each buzzing lasting from .5 to 2 seconds. It
seemed to come from behind the passenger-side dash in the front - my
wife and I couldn't pinpoint it. Since then, I haven't been able to
reproduce it, but then, it has stopped raining, too, which I think may
be a factor.

The noise was disconcerting to hear, as it was quite distinct and
annoying - like an alarm clock.

The dealer hasn't heard of that problem before. They're researching
it and are going to get back to me. Anyone hear or experience this
type of thing?
