Re: [Toyota_Matrix] Re: mpg graph 04 xr manual 2wd

Based on Tio's experience, I also purchased a small trailer and hitch for my '04 XRS last year. I have toted my '78 Honda CB550K on it (about 435 lb), as well as a zero-turn John Deere riding mower, at 55-60 mph on highway with no issues. I drop to 5th from 6th for anything resembling a rise when doing so, but it handles it okay.  Mileage drops, of course, but not below the mid 20s. Normal highway for this car is 30-34 mpg on premium, and I am not driving 55 (try 80). Ethanol content in gas in this part of the country is normally 10-15% everywhere and I also live in a "reformulated" gas market.

always good to hear. I have sticky new tires and gas I get on the i95
often has ethanol. WHen I get the Ethanol gas my mpg drops to 30mpg,
on regular 36 mpg.

They are not so insane when you consider that he is balooning his tires. I installed amsoil 0-20 in my '08 Matrix XR, automatic, and I am getting 31 in town,...

Engine braking uses no more fuel. When you remove your foot from the accelerator and down shift the computer takes this into account and shuts of the fuel...
