How about a Ni-MH battery that is 24V X 10Ah and lasts for 82 Years? The battery pack is rated for 2,000 cycles to 80% DOD. You can use a Soneil SLA charger...

Mighta answered my own question. From the specs PDF on the 24v 10Ah, rated 50A continuous?... So, 24v x 50A = 1,200W continuous? Would this mean at 600Wh...

Torque relies on the number of amps, not the voltage. Brushed motors need a controller with really high amps to get speed and torque & your batteries drain...
