Hi All,
Some of you may know me as Smokin Paul, I've been a lurker on this
list for some time. I also run the Smoke Riders Association. We, the
Smoke Riders, hold our Rally every year at the Mid-Ohio AMA vintage
motorcycle days. In past years we set up a mix of blue 10x10 canopies
and tarp's that has become known as the Blue Hilton, seen here.

This year instead of the Blue Hilton we decided to rent a huge 20 x 40
tent. You and anyone on this list are invited to stop by for a visit.
Our camp is located in the overflow camping area in the south west
corner. If you come on Steam Corners Road through gates 1, 2 or 3 go
hard left into the camping grounds all the way back to the fence and
then make a right till you see a heard of Buffalo aka GT750, GT550 and
other assorted bikes by a large 20 x 40 tent. :-)
Although we drive/own/drool over many makes & model motorcycles our
main Motorcycle is the Suzuki GT750 two-stroke triple. Its nick name
here in the US is Water Buffalo and so our camp is Camp Buffalo. ;-)
We are mostly two-stroke fanatics but really anything on two wheels
gets us excited. If you got a bike drive it over we would love to see
it, if you didn't bring one who cares because its about people,
stories and everything else too. :-)
At the very least stop by and say hello or if you don't mind a little
two-stroke smoke feel free to camp out with us. We are known as a very
fun and friendly crowd. We also usually have a well stocked cooler
near by for dispensing soft and other drinks. ;-) You might even
catch a group of us operating on a motorcycle from time to time. We
have performed impromptu water pump appendectomies, open engine
surgery to relieve piston seizure, and all sorts of crazy shade tree
wrenching. LOL Last year we even had movie night showing "On Any
Sunday" that we hope to repeat this year. I brought a lap top to play
the DVD's, Scott brought the home made boom box for the sound, Len the
projector to show the movie, someone had a large white sheet and
Suzuki Dave the Generator to power it all. Yes its true, two-stroke
fumes do cause insanity, but its really harmless and makes for a lot
of fun, hahaha. :-)
I hope to see you all at Mid-Ohio for Vintage Motorcycle days.
Leave 'em in your Smoke!
