I have a Forester 1999 w/ manual transmission. The back-up lights do not come up
when I put the reverse gear. I checked the fuse and the light bulbs and all are
fine. So I assume it should be a malfunctioning back-up switch. Do you know
where is that located and how easy is to replace it (DIY)?

Double check both the lights and fuses, much easier to swap in some known good parts just to be sure. It happens on occation where a bulb or fuse that looks...

Switch is on the transmission, but I dont remeber if it is in combination with the NSS or a stand alone switch, nipper ... [Non-text portions of this message...
