Like you I drove very little on the highway so I
didn't really care about mileage. (Less than 20K miles
in 4 years.) The Jeep would go like hell off the line
with the 4.56's, but just turned to many rpm's on the
highway for my taste.

I think you are correct in that the 4.56's would be
better suited to 35's, so if you think you might go
that direction and highway rpm's don't bother you, I'd
say go for it.

4.56 were to low wiht 33s? I was thinking about swithing out my 3.73s for 4.56s, Was your MPG to low? righ tnow I am getting 12.5MPG average on a 2006...

The 4.56 gears would give you decreased mileage. I have a 2003 Rubicon with a 4 inch lift and 33" with the stock 4.11 gears. My mileage improved a little...
