Having problems with message search?
Hi folks,
Just got this message from Ian Hallett, who has a very rare Australian
Mk VIII Hillman ute (1955 I think). The ute is in pretty good condition
and Ian has been trying to sell it for a while, but apparently no takers in
Australia. He has advertised it in Unique Cars and from his email
it looks like it may be going overseas – that would be a shame.
If you bought the 2007 Rootes calendar Ian’s ute was
featured in that. If you didn’t I’m attaching (hopefully) a
pic of it. Those in Canberra may remember the ute came down here in
2007 for the Hillman Centenary rally.

I have advertised my Hillman ute for sale in
Unique Cars. The mag came out today and and has generated two inquiries
already.
One of the inquiries is from a bloke in England called Phil. He has called me
twice this evening and I also had a call from his cousin in Geelong. Seems that
Phil buys cars in Australia and ships them to the UK. His cousin tells me that
Phil's enquiries are very genuine and there's a chance that the ute will leave
Australia.
I thought I'd let the Aussies on this list know about this and ask you if there
is anyone that you know of who might be interested in the ute. If they want it
to
stay in Australia, they'll have to move on it pretty quick.
