heres what daytona parts says about the valve
"As far as the spark control valve is concerned; the unit packed in the kit is the current spark control valve that we manufacture. It looks different, but works exactly as the original valve. This valve is simply a "vacuum" switch to allow vacuum from the carburetor out to the vac advance unit. The head of the valve "does NOT" seal on anything, as the valve is controlled simply by engine vacuum."
