heres what daytona parts says about the valve

"As far as the spark control valve is concerned; the unit packed in the kit=
is the current spark control valve that we manufacture. It looks differen=
t, but works exactly as the original valve. This valve is simply a "vacuum=
" switch to allow vacuum from the carburetor out to the vac advance unit. =
The head of the valve "does NOT" seal on anything, as the valve is controll=
ed simply by engine vacuum."

It should still function the same as the old. They have numbers on side that tell of when  they would open (IE. 6.0 etc) this controls distributor...
