It should still function the same as the old. They have numbers on side that tell of when  they would open (IE. 6.0 etc) this controls distributor

heres what daytona parts says about the valve "As far as the spark control valve is concerned; the unit packed in the kit is the current spark control valve

Hello Peter, the dimensions on my carb washer are O.D. - 1 5/8", I.D. - 1/4" , and about .035" thick.  It looks like it is aluminum Nick
