Re: Tandom Wheelwell Spacing.
I would be more interested in the distance from the center of the
front wheels to the center of the rear wheels. Hook a tape measure to the front
of the rim and then measure to the front of each rim on each side. I'd be
curious if the rear axles are parallel with each other and with the front axle.
I assume that you have jack stands. I'd place them 6-7 feet apart and under the
tape to keep the tape from sagging. You should be able to get the measurements
to within 1/8" accuracy.

making me a little crazy. The right set is @2" from the rear and @4.5" from the
front of the wheelwell. The left set is now @1" from the rear and the front is
@5.75" from the front. I wish they were centered or even the same would be
nice. I'm having new bushing installed next week in the springs and sliding
beams and hope it helps some. Right now when I make a hard right the left
tandom rubs the rear of the wheelwell if I on uneven ground. Just don't think
this is right. Once all the new bushing are in and who knows what else will
show up the rear is to be aligned and we'll see what happens. I just keep
getting into the wierdest things with this rig. Recently had to have the upper
control arms remanufactured in order to get a proper front end alignment. I'm
really curious about where other tandoms set in the wheelwells.
