A quick update on the trail closure at Rampart.

As of today, the trails are still closed. There was another heavy
snowfall last week that caused the closure to be extended even longer
than expected. Reports have said as much a 2 feet of new snow!

The state trails crew is expected to arrive this week to
begin the difficult task of clearing downed trees off the roads and
trails. They expect there to be even more than usual with all the
heavy snows this year.

So hang in there and be patient. The Forest Service is as anxious to
get the area reopened as we are.

For Poker Run participants:

Hopefully everything will be sorted out in time for the Spring Poker
Run, however there is a slight chance that the conditions *could*
affect our ability to hold the Poker Run on our original planned
date. We will be sending out notice with the flyers about possible
backup dates, so watch for that information in the mail and be sure
to check the website before the event to confirm whether we had to
move it. The flyers will be mailed out within the next week or so.
