According to Ron Vigil, OHV Program Manager for the South Platte Ranger
District, the temporary closure of the Rampart Range Motorized Recreation area
will be extended beyond the April 10th date they were hoping for.

New snow combined with warm daytime temps and cold night temps has kept the
trails wet enough to justify continuing the closure to prevent erosion damage.

This means both the road and the trail system will remain closed until further
notice. An alternative date has not been given yet, however we'll post it here
as soon as we hear anything.
