My wife, the dog and I visited rampart range today as a scouting
expedition. We found hard packed snow(perfect for ATV or
snowmobiling) on Rampart Range road and adjoining trails. Because we
were hiking, we found between 6 and 12 inches of snow in the non-
motorized areas with evidence of extensive snowshoeing just outside
the main parking area. The main parking area is suitable for any
vehicle as it is plowed and maintained. The road to Rampart is bare
and dry. If anyone is looking for a great day on the ATV, snowmobile
or just hiking around with the dog, now is the time to do it!
