The "upgrade" kit may be the one for propane ("clean fuel") conversion-- the propane burns really hot so they have to have special parts....

The redirection was originally done by the manufacturer to get the exhaust off of the ground level so it won't impact the sidewalk foot traffic as much as well...

As I recall the rear RTS wheelchair lift is rated at 300 lbs. I'm not sure if you know this, but the bus driver has to operate the lift at the rear controls...
