Carl I believe we've been down this road before You can't just break the ground leg of the Vanner - There is a problem doing that - if you have a bad ground

I placed this battery cut off switch from Harbor Freight between the inverter and the 24 volt connection on the bus. I had problems with the SHADY garages here

Jeff and/or others with this issue. When you have to disconnect the inverter to avoid the bus charging system acting up, how do you do it? Have manual

Look in the manual - that's a pressure regulator for the accerator interlock feature - most guys just cap that sucker off - it's there only to give about half
