[Mod - sorry, missed this one, posting it 2 weeks late...]
The old ScanGuage (no XGauge) would read 9999 MPG (highest possible)
during glide under 41 MPH. That makes sense, of course, because the
ICE is completely off. During warp stealth (arrows from the electric
motor only) at higher speeds it would read somewhere from 2-6 hundred
MPG, which was a flaw, because even though the ICE was still spinning,
the injectors were closed, so no fuel was really being used.
The new ScanGuage addressed this flaw. It has a cut off setting where
you set the TPS level at which the injectors are closed (the manual
actually says to set it 4 higher, so I set it at 18 TPS) so that it
will read 9999 MPG during warp stealth. And that works.
The problem I'm seeing is that now glide under 41 MPH is giving me
somewhere between 2 and 3 thousand MPG rather than 9999. How can this
be if the ICE is completely off? Also, I noticed that when sitting
for enough time (waiting for a raising bridge), ICE off, my current
trip MPG average will actually slowly go down. Again, with the ICE
off, this shouldn't happen.
Has anyone else seen this with the newer ScanGauge? Is there a solution?
Thanks!
