Forest,
Ign on, parking brake set.
Hit AUDIO button, hit DISPLAY button.
There's an empty rectangle to the left, press upper and lower
leftmost corners of "empty rectangle" repeatedly, until display goes to
diagnostic mode. Use menus and have really good fun!
When you start it'll revert to normal. (you can also do this while
engine is running, in which case you must "reboot"--turn off then
restart, to regain normal operation of Multi-Display)
Also, if you press upper left corner, then lower right corner, your
display will shift to Japanese mode--note the color bars are
different, and there's a tuning screen for TV! (Note, holding 5 sec
bar for 5 seconds reverts to normal mode, but clears all MPG data!)
I scanned the picture of the hidden buttons from the shop manual,
should be in a file here or at Eric's Toyota-Prius page--lemme look.
Jeff (My son played Episode One: Racer on the M-D tonight, screens
were 1/2 size and scrolled slowly from left to right, however--need
to find that last switch. [Or wait for AVC-LAN hack!])
