Less of it, of course, because all of the real stuff on the teevee happens
on the coasts, so we are really aware of what life on the coasts is like.
Like, you know, Gossip Girl shows life in NYC, and 90210 shows life in
Beverly Hills. Look at all the CSIs -- Las Vegas, New York, Miami, but no
Des Moines. Dukes of Hazzard was Georgia. Gray's Anatomy: Seattle. Two and a
Half Men: California. One Tree Hill: out east. Privileged: coastal.
America's Next Top Model has never done a shoot in Kansas City. Kitchen
Nightmares has never set up cameras in Nebraska.

All the Coasters gots to judge us hicks by is stuff like the Simpsons
(Springfield), Aliens in America (somewhere in WI), That 70s Show (Point
Place, WI) -- and check THAT out, all those shows happen in *fictitious*
towns in the Midwest. Teevee producers can't even find a real town here that
will keep people's interest in a show.

Golly.
