Re: tires different front and back

I think I saw a mention at the end of the video that the rear tire being on
the back is
important for front, rear and all wheel drive vehicles but I don't remember it
saying
anything about stability control but I do have the option on my Prius. I just
took my Prius
in for it's 70,000 mile service and told them about the tires and the service
manager said
they would rotate them from side to side but then yesterday I noticed that the
little tag
things were sticking out on my front tires so they ended up putting the new
tires on the
front instead. Is this the typical way of rotating them?

So I guess I'm going to have to go back and have them change it again. I wish
Costco had
had the same tires that I had before when I had that flat. I don't know if I
will be able to
tell the difference so easily next time.

Thanks so much for all the help,

Tara

I'm a bit easy on this kind of stuff but I would not worry in the least, as long as all 4 tires are radials of the same size and there is no noticeable ...

As long as you keep the same type on the same axle, you have no problems. Always put the new ones up front, they drive, steer end brake. The back ones only...
