This photo has been used in at least a half-dozen ads that have appeared locally over the last 2-3 years, including Haggerty Insurance, LeMay Auto Museum and Group Health Co-op.
This is the first time the photo's been blown up so big, to where you can make out details like the wood dash and custom steering wheel, with maybe a hint of a driver's side GT door panel, making it more likely a Tiger than Alpine. Also, the luggage appears to be a tight fit in back, not like in the bigger Alpine GT. If stock, the mirror indicates a Mk Ia or Mk II, or Series V.
If the photo was just a little lighter, we could make out the shift lever and know for sure.
