I HAVE fixed the PUMPS. You can take them apart, you can use a sturdy screw driver or similar (I used srew driver bits + hammer) to bend the 5 clamping spots...

rebuilt with wrong regulator???? still got blown diodes in it. - ie polish it up and leave whatever looks ok on a multimeter...etc. take the car to the guy...

it might fit the alternator but it might be designed to work with a different rpm and field coil setup. still if you keep the rpm over 3000 youll get there...
