From what I was told by a D/C rep. 5000 were made for 2004 and 2005
only.

Hi Brian-
I think just over 17mpg on the open road is about average. The best
I ever got was just under 18 on a long drive but I have seen on the
Rumblebee.org site some say they have hit 20 and some not over 15. I
guess speeds and driving style are an influence.
While I'm interested in seeing what the best is I can get, I
realize you don't buy a Hemi for MPG.

As the Oklahoma contingent of NWrumblebees, thought I would add I see a
yellow bee quite often going down the highway. And the other day I tallked
with a guy with a black bee in WalMart. But that is it out here that I know
of.

Different topic, I took a highway trip last week and got slightly over 17
mpg. Is that good, or just average?

I had to dust off the Yahoo screen name and check in. I see two
Daytonas quite a bit and I think the more I see them the more I like
R/B's. I changed jobs recently (mid-life career change) so I travel the
opposite direction I use to. Now I see one black Bee in a driveway
quite a bit, and occasionally one yellow Bee going opposite from me. I
saw two or three yellow trucks quite a bit when I worked in Tacoma.
The yellowjackets sure like hanging on my truck in the fall.

Rumblebee.org was gone for 5 days in Sept. but it's back now.
Yeah, I hardly ever see R/B's or Daytona's on the road. Every dealer seems to have Daytona's though and a couple still have a R/B. Lot's of good deals to be had. The 2006 Ram cloth interior is a disappointment to me, way different material and it looks like it will stain easily.

Rumblebee.org gone? Last time I check it was there.
Guess I'll try right after this.
I have seen two Daytonas, both GoManGo color. One is
a quad cab and the other a regular. I saw a silver one
at the dealer. It's funny. I'm not seeing all the
Rumblees I saw earlier. I see one black truck in a
driveway and still see a couple yellow.

Greetings-
Just checking in to see who is still around? It was such a nice day
the wife and I got into the Bee and went for a drive. I recently
started a new job with the Pierce County Sheriff Department. I get to
park in the secured lot surrounded by many patrol cars. It makes me
feel pretty secure about my truck during the day. My insurance company
should give me another discount. Ha.The down side is when I head home I
often have a couple deputies behind me and it is so hard to keep the
Bee at 35 unless I drop into D2.
I hope everyone is still enjoying their trucks and closing their
eyes when they fill up!

Hey Fellow RB drivers-
I saw on Rumblebee.org a number of people had one or two stalls over
a number of months. I just had my second one on Friday. A few months
ago I was at a mail box and it dies. A couple days ago I was going to
make a left turn and it dies. In both cases it started up right away.
The second time was a little scary since I was facing up hill and had
to muscle through the turn while a car approached.
I don't remember what the causes are or if anything can be done. Any
ideas?

Hi Tom,

I used mid-grade per the owners manual until the prices started going
up again. I put in a tank of regular for a trip and it ran fine. I
have used regular every since. It may have done slightly better on
milage with the mid-grade but the performance seems the same. In fact
it just turned 6,000 miles and runs better than ever. I wish the
transmission worked better, at WOT it shifts like a worn out
powerglide. I have complained to the dealer but they say it is normal.

Take care,
Jim

Hey Everyone-
I just saw there are many pages on Rumblebee.org about gas use and
mileage. It seems some have run regular from the start, some use
premium, and some change off. I know the manual says regular is
acceptable and saw a big article in our newspaper recently. The article
said many vehicles in which manuals call for mid-grade or premium run
as well with regular.
I have always used mid-grade except a couple times when I threw in a
few bucks. Around town I get about 12 and my best open road has been
17.9. I seem to be in the middle of the pack. Some get considerably
less and a number of RB owners said they get around 14 in town and up
to 22 on the open road.
    How are the northwesterners doing?
Oh, yeah. I also saw photos of nine bees lined up at a rendezvous. It
would be fun to do that around here.

Yep- I think it is great you don't see yourself going around every
corner but you get to see an occasional RB. I like it when we wave
to each other. I'm not seeing the two black trucks anymore but I'm
seeing three yellow ones on occsion. One had his stripe taken off,
put the hood on like the Daytonas have, and it has a spoiler on it.
It's kind of like seeing a yellow SRT10.
The last two times I headed south on I-5, I saw one going north.
Once was south of Olympia and once was south of Centrailia.
Hey-I'm glad four new messages were posted. Maybe I've become the
unofficial prodder.

Yeah, I still think RB's are better looking. I have been seeing one
Daytona which is gomango in color and has a quad cab. At the
dealership I saw a silver one with the regular cab which I really
liked.
I was at lunch the other day when a guy got out of his older Ram
and started asking me questions. My head isn't so large anymore but it
is nice when someone gives you a look or thumbs up.

Hi Tom,

I am still holding down the Portland chapter, but it's lonely down
here. I can not remember the last time I saw a fellow BEE on the roads
around Portland. I went down to Medford last week and did not see a
BEE going either direction. I do see them when I travel north, there
must be a better concentration up there.

My local dealer always seems to have one or two but I am not sure if
they are the same ones or if people are buying them and then not
driving them. Or maybe people come down from Seattle to buy them here.

I like driving a vehicle that is uncommon, but it would be fun to find
a couple others around.

Take care,

Jim

Come on NW Rumblebee owners. Don't let our little northwest group fade
away. Sure Rumblee.org is a nice site with lots of people but there is
something about "close to home" that is good too.
Maybe we need to flag down every Bee we see and tell them to sign
on.
I know we have someone from the great state of North Carolina which
is a little far from the northwest, but hey! Cool!
So let's fire up the site!

Where did everyone go? It's like NWrumblebees disappeared. Let's hear
how all our trucks are doing. I noticed on rumblebee.org a few people
are having problems with cracked ground effects but no dealer support.
It would still be fun to have a rendezvous sometime in the summer.
