Final Results for Summer/Autumn series 2002   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #141 of 170 |
Dear MC Competitors,

The MC Summer/Autumn Series has now drawn to a close and unlike previous
years, the series was almost free of wet weather... Almost. Well done
for the winners who received there awards at the end of the top 12
Finals shoot out. Team WRXOC1 were well deserved winners of the series
and the finals shootout, though they were pushed all day which did cause
a few cracks to appear in their normal flawless driving display. Less
than a cone separated the winners from Team Speedworks who took out
second place in the shoot out who were so close to making it back to
back wins. Third place was filled by Team IRN who again showed that
consistency is the name of the game. The trophy for fastest driver in
the finals round went to Hisham Ahrone in his Lancer Evolution.
Everyone who watched him drive would agree it was a well deserved
trophy. Special thanks goes to John Tang from SpeedWorks Auto in Subiaco
for donating the trophies awarded to our winners. As Always Brian
Goellnicht was on hand to give his special brand of commentary and his
expert driver tips.

The results summary is attached and I hope it is error free. Do let me
know if you find any. Also, check out the 2002 driver records for each
track and the all time fastest time sheets attached.

Attention now turns to the next series of MC Autokhana's. Some team
captains have already indicated that they would like to continue
competing in the next series so now I ask the question again - does your
team wish to compete in the next Autokhana series? or do you hope to run
additional teams? Places close friday the 28th of June. After this time,
no team spots can be guaranteed. Feel free to drop me an e-mail if you
or your team has any questions.

Regards
