Description
This Model-E electric car group is for all those interested in the development of an innovative, electric car. Tom Foster designed this 3 wheeled, all composite construction, electric vehicle in late 2006 and started work on the tooling in early 2007.
This vehicle is a Plug-In design. It uses an electric motor based on the Muller Motor/Dynamo. The motor is installed inside of the rear drive wheel eliminating the usual drivetrain. Batteries and capacitors will be used to supply the electrical power along with innovations in energy production and as a last resort a small gasoline generator could be adapted. Valence batteries and Battery Management Systems now chosen.
The body tooling is making great progress. The wheels and tires are now in hand, the rear axle / trailing link assembly should be finished shortly and the assembly of the first motor is close at hand. Many challenges lie ahead and a team effort of friends and family will be required to achieve the desired results. Dedication to this task is focused on Tom's desire to do something to stop burning up our planet. If you believe we must do something, your help is needed. Come on over to Princeton Texas and help as you can
Please check in often to see what progress has been made. Thanks for your support
