This neighborhood is also one of the oldest in the city with a GREAT atmosphere for everyone. Gils Cafe Gils is located on Downer Ave in the Historic East Side neighborhood. This cafe is approx 1/2 mile south of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus and caters to an ecclectic group of folks. Lots of live music and plenty of beverages served here!!
