This group is for the discussion of small trailers like the PAv 40/41, Piccolo Teardrop and other Microcar trailers. Some of these trailers may also be popular as classic scooter or motorcycle trailers but the main focus of our discussion group will be the acquisition and restoration of these unique one and two wheel lightweight trailers for use on Microcars like the BMW Isetta, Messerschmitt, King Midget and other similar Microcars and Minicars.

Another great small trailer resource is the "http://www.singlewheel.com/" web site. While detailed information is often available about Microcar restoration, trailer restoration details and parts sourcing information is often more elusive. Hitch mounting locations and wiring techniques are not always well documented and there can be important safety issues. A faulty trailer hitch installation can increase the potential for damage to both the vintage Microcar and its companion trailer.

On the other hand, a period correct trailer can make your Microcar even more fun and desirable and add some practical storage space to haul your tools, spares and other gear.

This group will become what you make of it. I will try to collect information to help others as I restore and install my PAv and Rossell trailers but indeed you may have experience with other trailers and hitch mountings on other vehicles that I don't have. Please contribute photos and information and we will all benefit.
