I'd recommend the POR-15 Cycle Tank Repair Kit www.por-15.com The kit includes a metal prep, which is basically phosphoric acid, that eats up rust pretty good....

I always thought that assembly lube would just mix in with the regular oil as the temps rose. It does not become suspended in the oil as oil does in water....
