I get a bit of pinging as well. Always run premium gas and my timing
seems to be on. Running electronic ignition, 5 speed tranny with a
stock Ambo rear. Pings awfully easy in 5th unless I'm really on the
gas. I'm going to try a new set of advance springs just for the heck
of it.

Anybody think its the mismatched tranny and rear drive that causing me
problems in 5th? To low of rpm's?

Hi Scott- As a former owner of a Sputnik sidecar combo, I can tell you that the Ambo will pull it just fine (as long as you are not expecting to tour at 80MPH...

IMHO, stock front end geometry will work but will be difficult to ride due to the steering input from the mass of the car acting through the trail in stock...
