The mustang II (the strongest contender for my doner car), is supposed
to have a "perfect ackerman angle". that is, the angle of the steering
arms intersect in the pumpkin. has anyone played with this in the past?
how important is a "perfect" ackerman angle? I don't want to have to
have a 107" wheel base and at the same time i don't want to give up my
track width. right now i intend to build a set of brackets that offset
the angle inward so that i can end up with a more reasonable (standard
locost) wheel base. Also sitting on my bench is an adjustable bumpsteer
kit so that at least is something i should be able to adjust my way out
of.
