Autobody suppliers can match pretty much anything these days. The wife had an
errant Escort tear the front off her Taurus. They wanted to total it, but I took
it 18 miles west where labor is $45 an hour and got it done. The shop had no
problem getting a great match on the silver grey metallic. Even though the owner
told me that the Ford paint code cover four shades. Just going with the code
will get you a 3 in 4 chance of going wrong.

months back in Side Glances in Road & Track. BRG varied from almost lime green
to almost black. Peter liked John Deere green as a BRG. I am partial to
something more like a forest or hunter green like mazda used on the miatae. If I
remember correctly, lotus even changed their shade of BRG over the years. So Dr.
Hess probably has the best suggestion of finding a paint code, but I don't know
if a paint store will have it since Lotus wasn't really a high volume
manufacturer.
