Bill NO kz1300 came with a fuel pump except the fuel injected model and I do believe it is a different designation not kz. Mikuni makes a vacumn pulse pump....

Yes connect to ONE cylinder where you sync the carbs vacumn port. 1 cylinder will give better vacumn pulses so would pump better....
