Our wonderful First Lady Michelle Obama has designated Monday January 19th as "Call To Service Day" in commemoration of our forefather Dr. Martin Luther King. Most of us are off work and what better use of our time on this historic day is to give back to those who are in need!

As a result the #1 Stunna's ATL Chapter is participating in the "Call to Service Day" on 1/19/09. We will be taking donations from 11am to 5pm @ the Stunna Clubhouse at 1472 Richard Rd. Decatur, GA 30032. All donations will go to the Mary Hall Freedom House. Their wish list is as follows:
canned food, personal hygiene products, toilet paper, paper towels, clothes hangers, coats, hats and gloves. They also have children residing in their facility who could use educational items & childrens clothing.

*Refreshments will be served and we hope that you all can stop in and give to a worthy cause.

Sidenote: The other day I personally spoke with one of the workers at the facility who expressed the need to get napkins from McDonalds to use because they had no toilet paper in the house for the families. This is a sad situation in a time where government has cut back spending on those living below the poverty level. Lets step up to the plate and help on "Call To Service Day"
