touring now has a big crease on the driver's side rear quarter panel. I am
looking for recommendations of body shops that members have used in the past and
been satisfied with the work done. As BMW rims appear to be made out of warm
butter, I am also going to have to replace the left rear rim as it has several
pea size chunks missing with sharp edges. Thanks in advance for the
recommendations.

My choice is Tom's Body Shop at 1605 E. Madison Ave in north Des Moines.
Phone is 261-0248. Over the last 15 years he has worked on my 1994 325i that
the insurance company wanted to total, he talked them out of it and my son is
still driving it. Looks like new. He has worked on my silver 1997 328i that my
daughter now drives. Front end damage, fixed like new. Hail damage to my 1994
Explorer and bumper damage to my 2001 330Ci. Highly professional and will tell
you the truth. Many of the big dealerships in DM bring him cars when they do
not want to work on them.
