so, those of you out there in the cold weather, have you noticed a
considerable drop in MPG since winter hit?

mine went down significantly and am wondering if i need to get it
checked... or if this is the reaction to the cold weather

went from a steady 31mpg to as low as 26mpg :-(

I had the exact same results, with the exact same change in mileage as you had. Though, my mileage did bounce back a bit, when we had a brief "warm" spell....
