Thanks for your input.  We travel full time and tow the Marnier with our motor home, and need to pull the boat a few times per year.  Since we can only have on vehicle and wanted a hybrid I wanted to give it a try.  I should be able to tell if is is working all right after I try it once.  I have heard of others towing a lot more for longer distances with no problems.  Thanks again for the info,
Brnet

No, I don't. But with the cost of the vehicle and the expensive technology that it contains, is it really worth the risk? That's only a question you can answer.

I am looking at 5 miles or so, and maybe 5 to 10 times per year.  Still sound excessive?  Do you know of anyone who has had problems with light towing?

I would advise not to do this -- it will void your warranty and put undue stress on the CVT and breaks which are costly to replace or repair.

I am interested in hearing about towing a small boat and trailer - up to two thousand pounds. I know the Mecury is rated for one thousand pounds, but I have heard of one person towing 3500 pounds from coast to coast with out any problems. Has anyone else had any experience towing?
