I am looking at 5 miles or so, and maybe 5 to 10 times per year. Still sound excessive? Do you know of anyone who has had problems with light towing?

I would advise not to do this -- it will void your warranty and put undue stress on the CVT and breaks which are costly to replace or repair.

I am interested in hearing about towing a small boat and trailer - up to two thousand pounds. I know the Mecury is rated for one thousand pounds, but I have heard of one person towing 3500 pounds from coast to coast with out any problems. Has anyone else had any experience towing?
