It's possibly just some crud or water in the carburetor float bowl. Drain the carb and add some fresh fuel with a good fuel system cleaner additive like

HONDA EU2000i COMPANION IDLE
Just bought a EU 2000i and a companion after 1 hr of running the companion's idle goes up and down with no load attatched to it I turned off the eco throttle
