I'd consider using these lights. http://www.trailtech.net/4312-DX.html From what I know of lights, the HID lights put out far more light for the same wattage...
I gaurantee you won't support 2 55w driving lights without depleting your battery. If you installed a volt meter you could run them until your voltage started...
