Hi all

 

I am ready for connecting the battery, but too afraid of getting dangerous smoke!

It is the most beautyfull afternoon here in Denmark, still 22 deg. at 21.35,  no wind, and I will wait till tomorrow before testing the hole thing. Sport1100 engine with modifications, haven't run in three years, connected to  the old Q1000 wiring and I am not an elecronic engeneer ( wish Jan K. was here)...... Now I turn to the redwine of Asti, and tomorrow I will know if the meeting in Holland is possible. Any adwice?

Hope Alfred is ok? He's got the Q with the very best suspension, thanks for the rides, Alfred.

  Hello Erling, 

 The Sport 1100 engine was it carburated or injection?

On the carburated engines, you have a flywheel with 5 teeth (4 on 90 degrees and a fifth teeth close to one of the others)

When using this flywheel, with the original ECU, you have to remove the fifth teeth.

Or replace the flywheel for the standard Quota 1000 flywheel.

You have to change  the cam sprocket, for the original Quota one and make a hole for the fase sensor.

The boss for the sensor should be on the engine housing.

On a 1100 i engine you have to install a sensor on the flywheel and install a flywheel with four teeth (Quota or Calli 1100 i)

On the camshaft is a toothed wheel with 48 -2 teeth, take this out and change it for the original Quota 1000 sprocket.

I don't know if you use the Quota manifold or have V11 (or Calli ) injector housings.

This maybe another problem, I don't know if the TPS of the V11 injectorhousing will work with the standard Quota1000 ECU.

The resistance isn't the problem but I believe they work the other way around.

 

Connecting the battery will do no harm, the charging system is the same.
