Greetings. I'm new to Charlotte and looking to meet folks. Looking for people to ride with and places to ride. I'm not a big fan of riding in large groups, but would be interested in riding with smaller groups.
Does this group still exist? Has it moved to another location?
If you have facebook, you can friend me. Just let me know you are responding to the Charlotte Biker group. I'm not sure about this URL, but I think it works. If not let me know. http://www.facebook.com/people/Little-Bear/100000110799946 You can also search for me on facebook as Little Bear.

Just wanted to give all of you a head's up that our LGBT Center's Programming
Committee is seeking folks to join. If you think you might be interested,
please join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 4, at 6:30 pm at

Thanks to all who attended Convergence 2009. I really hate that Starlite shut
down at the last minute. We are hoping to use Starlite as the campground for
the Fall event. Yes, we are planning a fall event.
A big thanks to all the sponsors for their support: The Charlotte Eagle,
Sidelines, Mac's, Hartigan's, and Carolina Harley Davidson/Buell.
More thanks to the Tradesmen for hosting this event for us.
We will plan some summer rides between now and the fall event, so keep your ears
and eyes open for them.
And most importantly, RIDE SAFE!!!
Jason and Jim

Great ride yesterday! Good to see old friends and make new ones. Thanks Jason and everyone else that helped.
Convergence is starting to shape up. The date is May 29 - 31. Getting excited due to all this great weather we are having. I actually got sun burned on Saturday riding!
I know of 9 guys that have already booked for Timberfell from the Charlotte Area for Hawgs Dawgs. If you haven't done so, you may want to give them a call and get your room/campsite. The campsites are really resonable. Hawgs Dawgs goes from June 1 - 7. Feel free to stay as long as you want.
I haven't heard from any of the ladies. I just missed them on Sunday at Hartigan's. Please let me know if you are planning on riding to Starlite that week.

Pitch a Tent and join bears, cubs, daddies, and fur-friendly men at CAMP BEAR June 11-14, 2009! Online registration is required and only $45 before May 8 at www.campbear2009.com.
Please check out our website at http://www.GayCharlotteFilmFestival.com
We are showing a large variety of gay-themed movies that are suitable for folks
who need to bring their kids (not little kids who scream louder than the roar of
your bike), but we also have some hot, gay and lesbian movies as well. Each
movie grouping costs $8 which means you always get to see more than one flick.
And, festival passes are $50 which gets you into everything. Please check out
the website and email me if you have any questions.
And, when this is over, how would y'all like to make a movie about LGBT
Bikers??? We have the cameras...
Thanks.
Two in my group. However, we're going on Saturday instead of Sunday.

CAMP BEAR is a four day, fun and furry-friendly "camping" themed bear event that is organized and planned by the TimBears and Bear Patrol. This year's event will be held at Timberfell Lodge Men's Resort and Campground in Greeneville, TN, June 11-14, 2009.
More than 300 bears, cubs, otters, wolves, daddies, and fur-admirers are expected at this year's event.
Registration is now open: $45 before May 8. Space is limited.
What makes CAMP BEAR different from other bear events?
Intimacy: Timberfell Lodge is a private men's mountain resort nested in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains complete with heated pool, sauna, steam room, tiki bar, tavern dance club, backroom, hiking trails, camping, RVs, cabins, and main lodge.
Lodging: CAMP BEAR is different from other bear events where activities are held in a limited, chain hotel. Most attendees prefer to tent camp during CAMP BEAR, creating a brotherhood atmosphere. Timberfell Lodge does offer a wide variety of accommodations as well: rooms within the main lodge, cabins, apartments, 3 campground areas, and RV parks.
Privacy: CAMP BEAR is held at a private, 21+, men's resort.
Headlining this year's Mr. TimBEAR, Mr. TimCUB, and Mr. TimGRIZZ contest is the participation from Bear Films models. Bear Films models will be in attendance during the CAMP BEAR event and serve as judges for the contest.
D.J. Michael Carrera from San Diego will rock The Tavern and Poolside at 3 separate Bear Dance Parties which will be followed by an After Hours "LightsOut" Party at The Tavern. In addition, several area bear clubs are hosting special mixer events, parties, and membership drives, including Bear Patrol, Club Cub Charlotte, TimBears, Virginia Mountain Bears, and WOOFTEASE.
Major airlines serve the Tri Cities-Bristol/Kingsport/Johnson City Regional Airport (TRI) and airport pickup can be arranged. Rental cars also are available. Timberfell Lodge is also 85 miles from McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville (TYS). Timberfell Lodge is located at 2240 Van Hill Rd. Greeneville, TN 37744, just 2 miles off of Exit 36 on Interstate 81.
