Greetings.  I'm new to Charlotte and looking to meet folks. Looking for people
to ride with and places to ride. I'm not a big fan of riding in large groups,
but would be interested in riding with smaller groups.

Does this group still exist?  Has it moved to another location?

Just wanted to give all of you a head's up that our LGBT Center's Programming
Committee is seeking folks to join.  If you think you might be interested,
please join us for an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 4, at 6:30 pm at
the LGBT Center , 820 Hamilton/1000 Seaboard in The Music Factory.

Any plans for the group to ride to Charlotte Pride?

Thanks to all who attended Convergence 2009.  I really hate that Starlite shut
down at the last minute.  We are hoping to use Starlite as the campground for
the Fall event.  Yes, we are planning a fall event.

A big thanks to all the sponsors for their support: The Charlotte Eagle,
Sidelines, Mac's, Hartigan's, and Carolina Harley Davidson/Buell.

More thanks to the Tradesmen for hosting this event for us.

We will plan some summer rides between now and the fall event, so keep your ears
and eyes open for them.

Convergence is starting to shape up. The date is May 29 - 31. Getting excited due to all this great weather we are having. I actually got sun burned on Saturday riding!

I know of 9 guys that have already booked for Timberfell from the Charlotte Area for Hawgs Dawgs. If you haven't done so, you may want to give them a call and get your room/campsite. The campsites are really resonable. Hawgs Dawgs goes from June 1 - 7. Feel free to stay as long as you want.

I haven't heard from any of the ladies. I just missed them on Sunday at Hartigan's. Please let me know if you are planning on riding to Starlite that week.

Less than a month until Convergence 2009, a biker rally for Gays, Lesbians and
other Open Minded Bikers.  All bikes are welcome, whether you ride a 1940
Panhead or a 2009 Hayabusa (I had to look up that spelling).  Keep in mind that
this event is free!  There is not fee to attend.  The Poker Run is $20/hand.  If
you are going to Timberfell/Starlite, there is a nightly rate for attending. 
Cheap is good in this economy!

Some information if needed:

Schedule of Events:
Friday - 7pm until - Meet and Greet at Sidelines Sports Bar.

Saturday - 11 am - Start of Poker Run - Meet in the Sidelines, Charlotte Eagle
Parking lot.  Heading out by 11:30, We should be back at Sidelines for the
drawing and afternoon party by 4:30pm.  50/50 drawing and Prizes will be done at
Sidelines.

Saturday - 10pm - Biker Bar Night at the Eagle, Wear your Leather if you have
it!  Biker Gear is the theme.

Sunday - If you are going to Starlite/Timberfell, we will be leaving at 11am
from the Charlotte Eagle Parking Lot.  We will be taking stops every hour or so.
Its a 4 hour ride.

We are showing a large variety of gay-themed movies that are suitable for folks
who need to bring their kids (not little kids who scream louder than the roar of
your bike), but we also have some hot, gay and lesbian movies as well.  Each
movie grouping costs $8 which means you always get to see more than one flick.
